Have you ever seen something on TV that just seems to stick to you? Well, I have, years ago I saw this National Geographic Show. I don’t really remember what it was about but I do remember seeing this really cool lizard doing something out of this world! I was younger back then and everything seemed amazing and newer, so when I saw the video I was shocked.

Funny enough, I was reading the Gospels for an English assignment and I read about how Jesus walked on water and this lizard popped into my mind immediately. Somehow, my mind was able to retain that video clip I had seen ages ago and relate it to the Bible. So being video weekend I thought I would share this creepy lizard clip so everyone could be surprised and amazed at natures beauty.

Warning, the following post includes various name changes to protect its users and is meant specifically for girls!

Talking about hot Mormon missionary guys, have you ever noticed how girls seem to give their crushes the wackiest code names ever? Well I know my friends do, the funny part is that the names are meant so others don’t know who you are talking about, and so in the end everyone knows your crush as “bluey” or “blue square” and when they are together, “blue fever!” , “DAM he’s hot!” or for the Mormons, the “HMMG”.

But you have to be careful! One wrong move and everyone knows who bluey is! *cue dramatic music. It has happened, believe me so you have to be either really careful with what you don around people who don’t know about him, or you can just pick a really good code name.

My advice is to play around with words, something with his last name, or even his first name! Something that reminds you of the first time you saw him or even a random word you like! Just enjoy giving him that name because you’ll be using it a lot when you see him around school.

Hot Mormon Missionary Guys

Why is it that we can never have what we want? Honestly, there are thousands of cases, people wanting to be other people, people wanting things different to what they already have, its completely stupid because half of the time we have something just as great right in front of our noses and we just don’t seem to notice it because the things we don’t have seem better.

Definitely, for us humans the grass is greener on the other side. Yet, even if you get the greener grass, you will soon find an even greener one and want that one to forgetting completely of the one you have. I know of guys who are always saying how much they want a girl to notice them, and how they are dying to meet her. When the girl finally does pay attention to them, they stop liking her for some strange reason. Or when we want an iPod sooo badly, and we get it! Finally the iPod nano I’ve wanted for almost a year now! But oh, wait, new TV commercial, the iPod touch is out. Throw away the nano and in with the touch-screen frenzy.

Why oh why are we so strange? Why can’t we be happy with what we already have? Why must we want what we can’t have? Maybe it is something like a human curse, always wanting more or different to what you already have! Could it be what Adam and Eve supposedly did, that something they couldn’t have was what they wanted? It’s the famous forbidden fruit. That is what we all want. *This is probably why guys think that girls like it when they play hard to get.

Now, if anyone is wondering why this post is here and about the strange title I will shortly explain after a few pieces of background information. I have a Mormon friend, and by having a moron friend I know quite a bit about their way of living. They are quite strict but extremely nice people, her brother and parents are very helpful and kind to everyone. Being one of the Mormon families in my city, they invite lots of Mormon missionaries to their house.

So, here come the issue, Mormon missionaries are supposed to spread their help throughout many places around the world for about two years. In this period of time, they can’t watch movies, be involved in a relationship or listen to music on the radio. So, thinking about it, what are the chances that every single missionary who goes to visit her house is extremely hot? I have no idea since I practically slept the class where we learned probability in math but apparently it is a 99.99%. I am dead serious, that picture up there is the eyes of one of them, and other than drop dead gorgeous looks, they are about the sweets people you will ever meet. When I was at her house one of them even offered to help up with cooking, what guy does that?!

How can we be punished this way? How can the best guys out there be: hot Mormon and missionaries. That is like, the definition of forbidden fruit. I’m not religious or anything but way to go Adam and Eve, you really screwed things up for your children!

Great Characters, Great Quotes

Today I was relaxing while watching a sit-com on TV, having some chips and waiting for a good movie to be on, when a thought occurred to me. You see my favorite character of all times (whom I’ve mentioned on my blog and most of you might know) is an exceptionally funny person. Honestly I’ve never laughed alone and felt stupid for doing so, so many times before. So today being a Thursday, I decided I would show the world his great lines and jokes.

If you happen not to know Sheldon Cooper from the big bang theory here is a little description from tvfanatic.com:

First of all he is known for saying BAZINGA a lot. Dr. Sheldon Cooper is Leonard's best friend, roommate, and co-worker at Calech. Sheldon is the smarter of the two with an IQ of 187, but is definitely the more socially awkward of two. He has a ridiculous ego, is extremely stubborn, but the group seems to put up with him (Leonard is the main character of the series).

And now ladies and gentlemen, Quotes from Sheldon Cooper:

Sheldon: (to Penny his neighbor) apparently I'm in some kind of relationship and you seem to be an expert at ending them.... I see man after man leaving this apartment, never to return.

Raj (a friend of Sheldon): I don't like bugs, okay? They freak me out.
Sheldon: Interesting. You're afraid of insects and women. Ladybugs must render you catatonic.

Sheldon: I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Leonard: For God's sake, Sheldon, do I have to hold up a sarcasm sign every time I open my mouth? Sheldon (intrigued): You have a sarcasm sign?

Sheldon: Hello Penny. I realize you are currently in the mercy if your primitive biological urges. But, as you have an entire lifetime of poor decisions ahead of you, may I interrupt this one?

Sheldon: Leonard, you may be right. It appears that Penny secretly wants you in her life in a very intimate and carnal fashion.Leonard: You really think so?Sheldon: Of course not. Even in my sleep-deprived state, I've managed to pull off another one of my classic pranks. BAZINGA!

Sheldon: Why are you crying? Penny: Because I'm stupid! Sheldon: That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad.

Sheldon: STOP IT BOTH OF YOU! All this fighting, I might as well be back with my parents! *Imitating his Mom* Dammit George! I told you if you didn't quit drinking I would leave you! *Imitating his Dad* Well, I guess that makes you a liar, because I'm drunk as hell and you are still here! *Imitating his Mom* Stop yelling, you're making Sheldon cry! *Imitating his Dad* I'll tell you what is making Sheldon cry, that I let you name him SHELDON

Leonard: When we watch Frosty the Snowman, he roots for the sun. Sheldon: Excuse me, but the sun is essential for all life on earth. Frosty is merely a bit of frozen, supernatural ephemera in a stolen hat. A crime, by the way, for which he is never brought to account

Controversial Music Tuesday

Don’t you just love it when an old song you used to know but never remember the name of comes up on a radio? Then you just have the time to remember a part of the lyrics so when you get home you can Google them and fins the long lost song? No? Oh well, I guess I’m the only freak who does that.

But anyway, this week’s song is one of my favorite songs ever, Its and old song but one I really recommend.

It is sung by the great Madonna! And actually I was doing a little research and the video she made of this song was extremely controversial with the Church and made quite a few top lists like:

  • Topping the MTV's countdown of "100 Videos That Broke The Rules" in 2005, and for the 25th anniversary of MTV (August 1, 2006), viewers voted the video as the "Most Groundbreaking Music Video of All Time".

  • The video was ranked #20 on Rolling Stone magazine's "The 100 Top Music Videos" and #2 on VH1's 100 Greatest Videos.

  • On November 27, 2007 Fuse named "Like a Prayer" as one of its ten "Videos That Rocked The World
I put up the video so you can have your own opinion about it, and FYI if you haven’t guessed yet or really aren’t a Madonna fan, the song is called Like a Prayer!

Also! I almost forgot, if you have read previous posts you can tell I love glee and in its new released episodes they actually sing this song! I liked their version a lot, in fact I’m also going to put it down here so you can listen to it.

Who Cares?

Ok I hope anyone who is reading this had a good weekend! I know I did, something really great happened to a friend of mine today, so to top it off with a cherry on top I thought I might post a cool video in her honor, it’s a song I really like because it talks about how you shouldn’t care about what other think about you and how you don’t have to depend on others (although that is my interpretation) some may know it, it’s called So What by Pink.

My Very First Quote Day!

Now, this day of the week I’m starting off with some cool quotes I like or have heard before. If you are actually reading this is the block of the week in my blog where you can get inspired, or something with these quotes. I know from personal experience that reading tangled up things that sometimes don’t really make sense unless you re-read them a few times can make my day.
So since I’m starting out this new program of mine, I decided to put up some quotes about beginnings:
I have to say, here I agree with Plato, every time I have to start reading a new book for school or homework, the hardest part is to beginning. In fact, I think most people I know have trouble beginning their work, they complain and complain until the finally do it, they don’t even complain during the process.
“A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.”-LAO-TZU, Tao Te Ching
I think this is probably one of the quotes I most hear around my family, if you’ve read my blog before you’ll know about my very interesting aunt, well every time I’m being lazy, shell always, ALWAYS tell me how everything starts with a single action or step. So for all you people out there who are procrastinating right now by looking at random blogs online that last quote is for you!
* On the other hand however, I know that I wouldn’t stop my procrastinating only because a random blog tells me too so if you’re like me, go here:
It’s a really good blog it will keep you entertained for quite a while until you decide to take your first steps into beginning whatever it is you’re trying to avoid doing.

The new age of the internet!

Ok, I would like to start today’s post with somewhat of a challenge. I challenge you to find something that can’t be found on a web search engine such as Yahoo or Google.

Now,I give this challenge because now days everything is on the web, and I mean everything! Have a date and need to learn how to dance? Google it! Want to learn how to cook just about anything? It’s all over the place, want to learn how to wear makeup, read hieroglyphics, or learn French? It’s all there. But you have to learn to be careful because, well let me finish that thought with a simple example of one of my favorite characters, and in my opinion one of the best characters from all times Sheldon Cooper from the Big Bang Theory:

Leonard Hofstadter: Remember when you tried to learn how to swim from the internet? Sheldon Cooper: I did learn how to swim.
Leonard Hofstadter: Yeah, on the floor.
Sheldon Cooper: The skills are transferable. I just have no desire to get in the water.
Leonard Hofstadter: Then why learn how to swim?
Sheldon Cooper: The ice caps are melting, Leonard. In the future, swimming won't be optional.

You can’t always learn magically how to do things like swimming on the internet, so head my warning if you are scared about your lives because the ice caps are melting, learn how to swim. In an actual pool, please.
But anyway, back to all the information we can find on the internet. It’s surprising, or should I say not so surprising to know that somewhere around the world someone who knows about something you want to learn took the time to write so someone interested in the topic like you could read it. Or sometimes there are videos like in a famous website I know and most of the world probably does as well I’m talking about the one the only YouTube.
From personal experience I can tell you that almost like on the web you can find a lot of helpful/entertaining videos. My friends learned how to un-freeze their iPod, how to use correctly their eyeliner and basic chemistry through videos on YouTube.
So to finalize today’s post I wish you all a happy web surfing because we all know there is nothing better to un-bore yourself than pass several hours in front of a squared shape light giving machine.

Monday, March 8, 2010

Hey!! Long time no post, sorry I really didn’t have anything to post about, let’s just say that now I do… :P

Ok so right now I’m in a really happy mood, maybe because I’m getting a lot of great music, way too many songs to write on here but I will eventually share my bran new music! Now I should tell you this will probably be an overwhelming post full of my feelings and thoughts of the day accompanied by pictures that I just feel like posting because I’m in a procrastinator mood and feel like writing on my blog. Also as I said before I’m happy today and want to celebrate it (sadly the only way I can think of celebrating it is by writing on my blog...). So here are my random thohgts ouf the day

Now, I just watched the new Alice in Wonderland movie which was pretty good, it was strange but I like it, especially the music in it, and anyway I would go and watch anything that Tim Burton does, I love the guy even when I was little I had a weird obsessing with his animated movies, I always liked “The nightmare before Christmas” which is a classic and I was only like 6 when I saw it, I had good taste even as a child. (You can tell I’m quite modest during my happy mood days).

Also I’ve been entertaining myself by reading other peoples misadventures in a web page called http://www.fmylife.com/ don’t judge, I get bored easily and have nothing else to do and it is quite funny, at least when it’s not happening to you. Unfortunately I believe in karma, so all sort of bad things will probably happen to me for laughing at peoples FML´s.

Now also today I did something I’m not sure I should have done, it was kind of a moral battle, I won’t include the details but a while ago I made a decision that most people wouldn’t have taken, and today I proved that my choice (that was not the one our current society tells us to make) surprisingly worked, not 100% but it worked and I think that emotionally for the people involved it was great… a word of advice honestly it works to put yourself in other shoes. Now don’t take this last paragraph seriously :) I know it sounds weird but it´s really just something dumb but that I feel proud of and wanted to get off my chest.

Now for something freaky, I bet you all know about Anne Frank, well today we noticed that one of our friends looks a lot and I mean A LOT like her. It´s really creepy, I won’t put her picture in but here is one of Anne so you can kind of get the idea. Something even weirder, my friend who looks like her is Buddhist, which means she believes in reincarnation. CReEpyYyy.

Now to put the cherry on top of my great day I managed to overcome one of my fears or better weakness of giving in easily to stupid little annoying manipulative wannabe interested people (or in my case little girl who swears she’s the best and moves the world at her wishes). My smug smile at the face she made me when I said no was priceless PRICELESS especially because I saw it coming and was ready to tell her she could not have my IPod. Man I wish I could re live the moment, but then again Karma is a bitch so ho know what my actions will get me in to.

Well so long for now!

Yey! Homework... Not

Ok, so I know most people hate homework but when its Sunday and have about three projects that are due, plus Math and English homework, AND a whole two page Science essay(that you know you should have started a week ago but procrastinated until the last minute) you may get annoyed.

The funny part is that every time I sit down and tell myself that it’s time to work all I can think
of it and old poem I read when I was in second grade(good times):

Homework! Oh, Homework!
I hate you! You stink!
I wish I could wash you away in the sink,
if only a bombwould explode you to bits.
Homework! Oh, homework!
You're giving me fits.

I'd rather take bathswith a man-eating shark,
or wrestle a lionalone in the dark,
eat spinach and liver,
pet ten porcupines,
than tackle the homework,
my teacher assigns.

Homework! Oh, homework!
you're last on my list,
I simple can't see why you even exist,
if you just disappeared it would tickle me pink.
Homework! Oh, homework!
I hate you! You stink!

-Jack Prelutsky

Next on my list of things to do so I can start homework, I think about different stories that people tell me while doing homework, from essays that don’t get saved and have to be redone to my mother biting a poem book and throwing it at the wall, which accompanies my laughter that no one will listen to since most of the time I’m alone.
Then I will innocently going on Facebook to check my Inboxes but will get caught up because someone talks to me and tells me to look at about three YouTube videos that I just have to watch, and before I know it its already two hours later and I haven’t even started my work.
Now it seems I have found a new distraction… blogging so I really should just leave this post and start reading so I will… I guess… after I check my mail… bye!

Family Dinners

Have you ever hosted a dinner were all your family comes and eats and talks and most of the time stay until late?Well I do, most of my Sundays my grandfather and uncle come to eat, just that today was different. Normally my mom will come up with a new dish to serve and will spend all day long with her hair tied up, a flowery apron on, and a very concentrated, stressed out face.

She’s actually a pretty good cook, she studied in Paris and had to learn how to live by herself (which is why she knows how to cook at all),so she likes to use wine and strange things on the food that will give it a rather strange taste, but it’s still good. Now another thing you should probably know about my mom is that: 1) she hates sugar and 2) She likes to travel, so for the present reasons we never have dessert on our Sunday lunches and this weekend she was visiting some lands she has about two hours from where we live. Now my dad and I have a sweet tooth that seems to run in his family so what we did today was open up an old recipe book and made a Key Lime Pie, but unfortunately as nice as that sounds it’s not good enough for lunch so we had to make some spaghetti which is the only food that doesn’t include sugar, flour and eggs we know how to do at all. So it went well, though we really can’t know if the food is actually good because everyone at the table is to nice to say so especially my grandfather, he will say how good it is and how he had never tasted anything like it about five time(no kidding) while he’s eating which is just a little gross.

A good thing that came out of it was my pie which was just adorable if I may say so myself and absolutely delicious, so I end this post with a picture I took of it. Bon appétit!

Funny video

Hey this is just a fun video I found the other day on YouTube it made me laugh, a lot! (But you already know I tend to laugh at stupid jokes or things that happen during the day.
My favorite part of the video is minute 2:40 you can skip to that part because it was really the only one that made me laugh.

Glee (caution spoiler alert!)

Just like any other person I enjoy watching TV, and even though I know that this isn’t a TV blog I would really like to dedicate this post to one of the greatest shows ever!
Glee!
I know that it is very commercial and everything but it really is interesting. I have heard many reasons why people like and dislike it.
Like:
1) It seems real
2) The actors are not stupidly hot or anything, they are just normal
3) They like the songs they sing on the show
(These are only some)
Dislikes:
1) They don’t develop the stories (other than the long term ones) thoroughly.
2) Don’t like that Mr. Shue believes his wife is pregnant (with a stuffed pillow) for months and never really seeing her stomach.
3) Thinks that the random singing and unpracticed dancing choreographies is stupid.
Honestly I think many of these reasons are true, both the good ones and the bad ones, but still I recommend you watch it because the season is over already so they will probably be showing lots of re-runs for a new fan to watch, and in my opinion it had a pretty good finally episode. I really hope you enjoy it because it’s a good show if you give it a chance.

Here's one of my favourite parts of the whole first season:

Random thoughts of a day

Today, many strange thoughts passed thought my mind

1) Today a teacher a school said something weird, when she asked us something and no one answered she muttered to herself:
"They check brain… Brain doesn’t come up with an answer."
For some strange reason this cracked me up (which earned me a few looks) It must be hard being a teacher anyway I guess you kind of start talking to yourself, not that it’s wrong to do so but it is, as many things, something that makes me laugh, even though I constantly find myself in situations where it’s me who’s talking alone (but hey! I’m an only child, you can’t really blame me).

2) Today during my intensive internet searching, or looking for bumper stickers on Facebook I came across a quote
“If things never changed, there would be no butterflies”
I’ve never been a big fan of change especially because I have my very own crazy aunt (who’s like one of those people that could be brought out of a novel or something, eccentric and ever-changing) whose life is based on the phrase: life is change. I have heard this all my life, every time I came whining to her she would say it anytime something went wrong she would say it, she said it so much that I got sick and tired of it and started to get mad every time she said it so she decided I had heard it enough and finally stopped. Now, a few years later when I saw this sticker I couldn’t help but think about my frizzy-haired aunt and her obsessing with a single phrase that now that I think about it makes a lot of sense. Maybe all I needed was a few more years to get it and now I feel kind off foolish for not really thinking about what she told me and only about my small problems.

3) Don´t you just hate it when someone on the bus won’t stop talking to you? Even if you know them? I get dizzy during the entire trip and they won’t stop going on and on about something that I really can’t pay attention anymore because my head hurts so much.

Sooo those were some of the many things going through my mind today, just a little taste of bits of my mind.

Teenage Vampires

WHAT IS UP WITH TEENAGE GIRLS AND VAMPIRE BOOKS??????
As Queen Latifah said in the Peoples choice awards, this year was definitely all about vampires, starting with the very famous book and now movie the twilight saga every since all I see and hear about is freaking vampires! Which annoys me deeply, what do the blood sucking creatures have that girls like drooling over the (or rather over their page written description). I mean before this Twilight book no one really cared about vampires, now I hear about vampire living in an academy, vampires who eat animals, vampires who eat humans, vampires who even eat themselves! Now the fang fever isn’t like this year’s other outbreak of swine flu, it prefers young girls as its victims. The saddest part is I am one of the freaking victims and I hate it! I can’t help it, my vampire fever friends (or friend) induced me into them and I just can’t stop it, so if anyone ANYONE knows a cure or an answer to the first sentence of this post please PLEASE tell me.

A note to the reader.

Sometimes I get bored, and I wished I could talk to someone or at least express what I’m feeling or something, (and since talking too myself would be just a tiny bit weird, especially with the neighbors) a difficult task because I’m an only child and trying to talk to parents don’t really count when you want to talk about something that you will have to explain to your mom from the beginning, and who will interrupt every five seconds to ask a question that I have answered about three times already( no kidding).
Here is when the teacher comes in the story, new semester new classes, new methods of giving us homework that we can’t find excuses for not finishing or doing at all. So in I go into English and we receive the news that everything we do at home we have to post on blogs to save paper and time(which by the way I’m all into saving some extra trees the world could use), and I think, why not? So here I am hoping to get some readers or something, or if I don’t I guess I’ll just post to and for myself anyway, so yeah if anyone is reading ill post some cool links and things up here if you’re bored you can entertain yourself a little. Hope You like it!
